Today ride was fun and games on the road. The temperature had dropped overnight and there was plenty of ice and frost to contend with but as you can see the sun was shinning most of the time. The temperature varied from minus 1.4 to plus 2.1 but it was the windy chill factor that made it even more baltic. I do like a ride in these conditions but the part i dont like is the 20mins to get all your gear on before you can get out.
It was a good ride out but when i passed through Tow Law it went very dark and then there was a brief sleet shower passing through, it was time to head back after this. This is why i run Conti 4 Season tyres for conditions like this, the roads were wet in places, dry in places, frost in places & ice in places.
Lets see what the rest of the week brings with a good mix of forecasted weather ahead. There is one thing for sure plenty of layers will be required.
