Rainbow and dangerous drivers today

First ride of the day was a commute from home down to County Hall for a course. Got there and the course was cancelled at last min so second ride of the day was to ride back home.
Third ride was a right old mixed back. The wind had picked up from early more and was blowing a gale but the sun was out. Took the Litespeed out for some salty road work. Just got on top of the valley and i could see the rain showers blowing in ahead, i skirted/missed most of them and took some pics of a rainbow, not seen one for a while and they are lovely to look at. On the way back in i had a nice tail wind blowing down the valley. Just got out of Esh Winning and an Arriva bus passed me and cut straight back in, i thought there might have been a car coming the other way but there wasnt. I headed straight through Ushaw Moor and down towards the Stonebridge, on the descent the same driver went past me again and cut straight in front of me again but was even closer this time. If i had reached out i would have been able to touch the back of the bus. The car coming up the bank had to slow down for him and was blasting his horn at him. I just hate Arriva bus drivers - well most of them. Go Ahead Northern drivers are much more polite to cyclists and motorists. At the Stonebridge i was rattled but could not do anything about it so headed back. Going through Langely Moor less than 1/2 a mile later it was just not my day and a car skimmed me with inches to spare, that is the closest near miss i have had without being knocked off (which has happened and is not skidding along the tarmac on your arse!) that was it time to call it a day.
I got back in and Angus wanted to go out for a night ride around Durham, well how could i say no to him. Well thats four rides in one day and time for the chippy and feet up. Below are some photos
