Saturday Morning local ride on the Beargrease

The weekend is here again and time to get a few miles in. I was up at 4.30am and have got a sore back & knee and had a few jobs to do so it had to be a gentle shortish one today. The overnight frost had lifted in most places and was a cool 2 degress with no wind for a change. I stopped local and covered 21 miles on varity of terrain from some lovely muddy singletrack, road linking sections & the old lines etc. Im hoping my back and knee are less sore tomorrow as im planning another ride on the Beargrease through to the coast. I will post up some photos tomorrow night along with a new Fresh Goods Sunday blog. Below are some pics of todays outing.

Found this old sign made from asbestos, not sure what the inserts are made out of but when i took this photo they are still reflective when the flash went off. If you zoom in on the photo you can find the manufacturers name from Barnard Castle and Durham County Council still use the same company today for road signs.

Then i found this wigwam in the woods made from old skateboard decks, its well cool but where the hell have they found this many old decks from?
