Still dusty trails under the fat tyres

Still no rain in the Co Durham area making the lines like a dust bowl. As you can see in the photo to the right its powder dry and loads of cycles have been out by the looks of it as well. Todays ride was a quick out & back as i didnt have much time to spare. I took the Beargrease again and it was flying to Bishop Auckland. Had a quick drink rest on my usual bench then straight back into a steady headwind. Again the sun was in/out/in/out and still warmish. As yesterday the trails were very quiet with only a couple of other cyclists, dog walkers & walkers. Normally when the weather is like this you cannot get moved for every man & his dog is out and about, cannot complain its better for me. Below are a few photos from todays ride, enjoy - more soon.
Countryside Rangers have been strimming back the nettles near all the fences @ the road crossings

1/2 way rest bench

View from Newton Cap Viaduct - see how low the river is

Cycle path across the viaduct

Dusty surface on the lines, fast going, got to watch the corners for front end wash out

and back to the start, beargrease is having a well earned rest
