Miners Gala Big Meeting Ride

Before todays ride here is a quick catch up on this weeks goings on, Arran has been away on a school holiday all week to Kingswood just outside Hexham so I have stripped his bedroom out and redecorated and put in some new furniture. That has kept me busy everyday straight after work so only got one ride in which was on my road bike on Monday and a run on Thursday for 35mins. The run was hard work as i havent done one for well over 6 months and it was red hot / sunny but it had to be done!
Today was the Miners Gala Big Meeting so we had a ride down to Durham on the Fat Bikes to wacth the bands marching through then off for a play on the Downhill track in the woods then back into Durham city centre to watch more bands arriving on the old racecourse followed by icecream @ the boathose then a steady ride back home. As you can see in the photos it was sunny & red hot - not a good combination for everyone drinking all day from 7am! Below are a few photos and here is a link to the album
Tomorrow - Sunday 13th is the Stockton Cycling Festival - bring it on. Im going to try and beat last years roller racing time
