Sept Summary & yesterdays night ride & todays day ride

Well thats September been and gone, the shops now have Christmas stuff in- its just madness! After the school summer hols i wanted to get back to more riding / more miles and with the weather still holding out set myself a target of 400 by the end of the month. A few weeks in and i was going to go over that so adjusted the target to 500. On the 27th Sept i reached 501 miles with 3 days to spare so after the One Peak had two days off the bike. In the 27 days i also had 5 rest days so averaged nearly 23 miles a day. We are now into October and its still good weather and the first ground frost going to work this morning with the temperature guage showing 1.5 degrees time to get the winter wheels on the van and car i reckon. Yesterday after i dropped the kids off at the cx training @ Meadowfield i went out for my night ride. Set off with the sun just gone down and there was a real chill in the air but dry. I got past Willington on the way to Bishop and put the light on low setting. By the time i got to Bishop and had a quick drink to head back it was time for full beam option - it was dark. Will take a couple of weeks to get back into night riding again, feels weired at first with shadows and noises all around you, cannot judge how fast you are going either. Onto todays ride and the sun was blazing away with the teperature rising from the 1.5 to 16 degrees out of the wind and in the sun. Took the Dale Supersix out for a spin and loved the speed / less drag again. Planning on doing a few more road rides whilst the weather is still holding out. Below are a few photos from the rides, all the best & more soon
Just on the outskirts of Willington, another 10 mins and the lights went on
