It was time to invest in some new security for the Krampgrease (and any other bike in me fleet when required). I only buy Solid Secure Gold rated locks etc. I have used and still using various manufactures chains / locks etc and have all performed without any problems. After Janes bike was stolen from work we got a Kyptonite New York D lock and that thing is solid so decided to try out the New York Noose this time. I liked the idea of adjusting the 130cm chain length with the noose end, you can still use the chain like a normal chain and lock the last two links together. It comes with 3no keys, one with a light, £1300 anti theft insurance for the first year. That is the chain / lock sorted now time for something to anchor it too. Again i only buy Gold Secure rated anchor points. There is not a huge selction to choose from and this time i went for a British Squire BPGA Bull Anchor. They say best fitted to solid concrete floor but that is impossible when you are storing bikes hung from the ceiling so i fixed it to the wall. Easy to do as long as you have a 16mm masonary drill bit, allen key & hammer. Less than 10 mins later and job done, just got to hammer in the ball bearings into the allen key heads. This is the first Squire anchor i have used and its very heavy and solid looking. The powder coating is not the toughest out there but does the job.
