Fury Events - Quad bike trekking & Clay pigeon Shooting

A couple of years ago we did the 4x4 off road driving experience run by Fury Events just outside Wolsingham and it was a fantastic two hours out plugging away knee deep in clarts and water. We have seen the Fury Events several times when visiting Broom House Farm shop/cafĂ© and always fancied a go doing some other activities. So part of Angus's 16th birthday and my birthday we booked quad bike trekking and clay pigeon shooting. We have rode quad bikes many times before at different locations but never here. As for shooting its the first time any of us has had a gun in our hands. We were booked in for 10am yesterday, a bloke turned up, we signed the forms and we were off in an old landy down to the shooting range. The lad was excellent and talked us through everything before being let loose! I thought I we would be lucky to hit one or may be two clays but I was wrong. After the first few goes they were smashing all over the place. Arran had the best eye and hit/smashed loads of clays. We had a go of two different shot guns and three different angles/settings on the clays. We kept a couple of intact clays and a few used shots as a souvenir. After that it was a trip back up to the hut in the old landy to get ready for the quads. A different lad took us and again signed our lives away, after a safety talk and a quick warm up in the top field we were off and into different fields / terrain etc. Right out the back Arrans quad broke down so he got a lift back on the instructors quad. The lad got another quad out and we were off again, this time down to a small quarry area for some steep up's and downs and the best part was kept to last - single track through the woods. I could have stayed in the woods mucking around all day! that was it, 2 hours gone in a puff of smoke. Splattered in mud the kids were happy as larry. Normally the quads and 25 shot clay pigeon are £40 each per person but they do a mid week special of any two activities for £55 then there is a special offer on at the mo through their Facebook page - £50 per person for two activities, cannot be robbed at that. We are looking forward to going back again, time to start saving!
Below are a few photos from the morning out -
