Cleaner / Drier ride on the roads today

The sun was out again today and so was the wind! after yesterdays mud bath I decided to stick to the road option for todays ride. Out came the winter Litespeed hack machine for a lovely local around the hills of County Durham. As you can see in the photos there was lovely clear skies with fantastic views but what you cannot see is just how strong the wind was. You can always tell when its really windy as the turbines are turned off or going very slowly! I had a headwind for most of the way out and it was uphill but when I finally reached Tow Law it was a fantastic tail wind all the way back down to Willington. The roads were mainly dry and salty with only a couple sections of mud,ice and wet. All in I climbed just over 2000ft and mainly into a strong headwind so my legs will be paying the price tomorrow. Looking at the forecast that's the last of sun but its still looking dry and overcast, just hope the wind dies down a little. More soon ;-)
