Local offroad ride on the Beargreases

Angus had a ride over on the Krampgrease to meet up with me for a off road ride today as he had no shifts in at work. We took the old line to Langley Park and turned left up the farm track to Esh then dropped down the other side onto the Deerness Valley line to Esh Winning then up to Stanley Crook for a quick drink on the bench. From there a fast short road section down to Willington to pick the old railway line back to Meadowfield. There was a cold stiff wind all the way out but tail wind coming back in. The sun was out / in during the whole ride. Not that hot tbh for this time of year and the trails were muddy in places off yesterdays heavy downpours. Below are a few pics - more soon

PS - if you are going out on your bling road bike be warned that Durham County Council have started their road chipping season last week and there is loads of long stretches of freshly chipped roads all over the county at the mo.
