Fresh Goods Sunday - Ritchey Pro Paradigm V5 Mountain Bike Pedals

We have been using these pedals for a few years now with no problems. I have used Ritchey mtb pedals for the past 20+ years. The best ones are where you can remove the axle cap to squeeze through fresh grease every six months. What I have found is the cheaper models also last a lot longer than the more expensive models over the many years of use.
It looks like Ritchey have discontinued this model for 2016 so retailers are selling them off at the mo. They come in red and black and we have both versions. Once the red and black anodising wears away you can see the bare alu underneath but the coating is pretty tuff. They clear well in muddy conditions and clipping in and out is easy. There is some float but this is not adjustable. The tension is adjustable on both sides of each pedal with an allen key. The pedals have no 15mm flat section for fitting on the axle so is an allen key up the end, makes for cleaner looking pedals I think.
The claimed weight is 255g and you can see in the photo below its not far away. The RRP is £94 but you can get them for just over £50 inc a pair of cleats which I think are good value for money from Bike-Discount & Wiggle etc.
