Local cruise on the gravel / tarmac lanes with the Bowman Pilgrims

And the sun is still shinning, red hot and not a cloud in the sky. The trails / old lines are bone dry, hard and dusty which equals fast going under tyre. I decided to take the Pilgrims today as I wanted a mixed ride of old railway lines and some tarmac sections in between. This bike is ideal for todays conditions with the 28c Gravel King tyres and 32t rear cassette with Di2 lazy man's gears, just sit on and spin away in the sunshine.
Considering the weather I did not see any other cyclists out, few dog walkers, no runners and one horse rider. I am not complaining as its less bell ringing / slowing down for passing etc.
I could / wanted to go further but did not have the time which was a shame as its looking like no more sun and back to cloud for the rest of the week now.
Below are a few pics from ride, enjoy and more soon -

Ushaw Moor bridge closed to vehicles, cycles and pedestrians

all the trees / bushes have been cut back around the old bridge

lovely clear view from the top today
