Saturday morning walk in to Durham & back

We decided to have a walk down to Durham city centre on Saturday morning as we had some banking and jobs to do. It was a lovely quiet walk down through Frankland farm way and out at the riverside. The old National Savings building is now fully fenced off and the asbestos removal lads are on site before the demo starts. Milllburngate is also half demolished and getting re built. We also had a walk up to the Cathedral as I have not been for a few years. I had a look at the Lego model of the cathedral, its bigger than what I thought it would be, quite impressive, shame about the diy case thing its in. We also had a cuppa & cake in the cafĂ©, the food and drink is cheap compared to the cafes in Durham, we will be calling in past again for a cuppa. A quick look around the craft fair in the Town Hall then we had a lovely walk back home via the red brick bridge route.

We also had a look down to Stokesley at the back end of last week, called in past Westys to collect a tyre, thanks Calvin for sorting (more on that soon). I was also to talking to Boss Paul and he is looing for another sales person to replace Paul F and another IT bod. We also called in past the golf club for a quick blast of some balls on the driving range.
