New Years day road ride & man cave time

After very heavy rain on New Years Eve night / New Years day morning it was time for a local road ride up to Gateshead. To add to the wet and salty roads there was a very baltic northerly wind blowing in our faces all the way up to Gateshead / Low Fell. We called in past the Angel of the North for some snaps and it was very quiet. Once we turned and headed back home we had the tail wind and we were flying along. The temperature just got above freezing and was overcast and cloudy until a couple of miles away form home when the sun tried to come through. There was also some crazy drivers out on the roads and nearly got wiped out a couple of times and horns blazing away for no reason. So much for quiet / peaceful New Years Day road ride we used to have years ago when all the shops etc were closed. Its just like any other normal day around here.

Once back home we washed and dried the bikes and had a spare couple of hours to fit some new goodies that have landed over the festive period -

More on the new goodies in Fresh Goods Sundays Blogs to follow in the next coming weeks.
