Another local less windy ride on the Slate Apex

Thank god there was less wind today but there was more cloud and it was colder. I still managed to wear my 3/4 leggings and short fingered gloves again but had a baa baa base layer, long sleeved winter jersey and gillet on my top half. The loop took in three old railways today and two inter linking sections. I was on the Broom Park to Bishop line, Broom Park to Consett line and Broompark to Crook line. The two inter linking sections had two good climbs as well. Again it was very quiet on the lines with very few people about which is way better to build up some speed on the straight sections. Be warned the farmers have been back out splatting more hawthorn hedges again. Below are a few pics, enjoy and hopefully more soon -
