Mainly sunny Sunday morning local blast on the Cannondale Slate Apex

Woke up yesterday morning (Sunday) with glorious sunshine blazing away through the bedroom window, time to get up and get out and clock a few miles in. I took the Cannondale Slate Apex out again for some gravel / tarmac country lane riding. It was not that warm with a stiff cool breeze again but needed to get some miles in. When the sun clouded over it was even cooler but it came back out again about 2/3rds of the way around my loop. There was plenty of other people out and about enjoying the weather inc loads of other cyclists. By the time I ended up back in Durham I did a few extra loops around Shincliffe / Maiden Castle / Gilesgate area before heading for the town then back home. All in I covered just under 38 miles and really enjoyed it.
Once back home it was time to wash the car and van. Wash two bikes, fix two punctures on another two bikes and do some gardening = day over yet again. We are all back to work / school tomorrow, that's another great break we have had.
Below are a few photos from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon -

A couple of deliveries this week as well. A treat to myself from ebay - plenty of reading and looking back at the many years of Vaux's my family has owned !

And also May edt of Cycling Plus also landed on the door mat, just need to find enough time to start reading it.
