Fresh Goods Sunday - Noah & Theo Sram road disc pads

I always carry stock off spare disc brake pads for the numerous different manufacturers / models so when I bought the Cannondale Slate it was yet another different pad shape. The originals are lasting well but starting to get down. When we were down at Saltburn the other month we called in past Bike Scene on the way home and seen the original Sram pads but the rrp was something like £20 per pair = time to get on ebay for a search and come up with these. This company sells loads of different pads and a couple of compounds and thought I would give them a go. At £8.50 a pair I am not expecting them to last long but if they stop me that all that matters. I have not fitted / used them yet as the originals still have some life left in them. The quality ./ finish looks spot on so I will give feedback once they have been fitted and bedded in. Here is a link to the listing

Sintered Compound - very hard compound offers powerful braking performance and excellent lifespan which makes it the best value for money. Sintered pads are ideal for downhill riding as they can withstand extreme punishment due to wide operation temperature and very high friction.

Once fitted, do not forget to bed in the pads. With your new pads fitted to your calliper, you need to find a long, gradual road descent with a smooth surface. Something that allows a 20mph roll with enough space and safety to perform some hard stops will be ideal. Build up speed, drag the brake for five or six seconds to build heat and then increase lever pressure until the bike stops. Six or seven runs will have the brakes working perfectly. Being able to stop is probably quite high on your list of priorities when out riding, so its important to make sure that your brakes are working to their best at all times. These pads  offer powerful, reliable braking time and again.

When performance braking, extended pad life, and durability under the most demanding conditions is required.
